The Project Management Professional (PMP)

The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is recognized internationally. It validates proven experience, education and competency to lead and manage projects effectively. For experienced project managers looking to authenticate skills, stand out from the crowd and maximize earning potential, the PMP credential is the right choice for you.

GSAtrain periodically conducts project management classes as well as preparatory 35-hour sessions affording participants the opportunity to prepare for the PMP exam or update their skills. The instructor, Owen Winn, is a veteran project manager with several successful large-scale and complex IT Projects under his belt.  He is highly acclaimed for his PM skills.

To apply for the PMP, candidates must have either:

  • A four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent)
  • 4,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education

or

  • A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent)
  • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education
